CarbonChain Upgrades its CBAM Declaration Experience to Transform Importer Compliance
Collecting carbon data from suppliers isn't just paperwork—it's a critical business process. And until now, it's been unnecessarily complicated.
We've created a smarter way to manage CBAM declarations. Think of it like a precision tool that turns complex supplier engagement into a streamlined workflow. The result? Less time chasing data, and more time making strategic decisions.
CarbonChain Comply’s CBAM features have been upgraded to make carbon compliance feel like magic.
Key Features:
Supplier Data Management: Users can directly add and edit supplier information in the CarbonChain platform, including CN codes to ensure accuracy in supplier engagement.
Detailed Data Requests for Supplier Engagement: To make the process of supplier engagement even smoother, users can include product names and CN codes as metadata in their supplier engagement requests so that suppliers have clarity over exactly what data they need to provide for what products.
Improve Supplier Engagement Workflows: When suppliers receive requests for data from CarbonChain users, they can now upload their data for as many installations as they operate and/or purchase from. Because importers will now be including CN codes in their supplier engagement requests, the process for uploading data will now be much more transparent for suppliers.
Improved Data Mapping: Users will receive on-platform notifications and flags for any mapping errors, warnings, or gaps in primary data. These cues are intended to guide users to the most important actions needed to ensure adequate primary data coverage for their disclosure. Suppliers will also receive updates on the quality of their data uploads, showing them exactly which CN codes have adequate data coverage and where they still have
Supporting Documentation: Importers will now be able to attach supporting documentation so that proper evidence can be provided, both in cases where provided data needs additional evidence, and where importers have not been able to receive primary data and need to show evidence of steps taken to obtain the data.
Option to copy data requests: Users now get an option to send the supplier request emails themselves. They can simply copy a data request link which will direct users to the supplier engagement portal in the CarbonChain platform, allowing them to customize the messaging and control the messaging with their suppliers.
